This morning I drove down to San Diego to see my family. Two of my cousins where visiting from out of state. I have not seen them in a long time and was excited to catch up. Unfortunatey today was the day that they were also leaving. Still, I had about eight hours with them.
We sat around and talked for a few hours. It was fun to talk, reminisce, and laugh. The car ride to the airport was interesting. The car was packed- me, two cousins, my grandmother, and aunt. We dropped off one cousin and headed to an early dinner at Anthony’s Fish Grotto. I have never been fond of Anthony’s but if you go to San Diego, you have to eat here. I will say that I had a great meal today- Clam Chowder soup, steamed mussels, and asparagus. It was delicious.
We stayed there a few hours and then dropped of my other cousin at the airport. When we got home, I took a short walk on the golf course and then had to play cards. My grandmother loves to play cards. I am not crazy about it since everyone takes the game so seriously. They want to win and I am just here to have fun. If I win, great. If I lose, at least I had fun.
Don’t tell my grandmother that!
