I solved the case!

Today was our last day in Vegas. I had a fantastic trip and never knew I could enjoy Vegas so much!

We made our way to the Mob Museum via an hour bus ride. It was a fascinating museum. I knew that the mob played a major role in building Vegas, but I had no idea how deep the mob was in the American system. It was kinda disturbing and I kept telling myself that ignorance is bliss! The museum has amazing artifacts and I think I could have stayed hours here. The museum was in an old post office and in the old part of Vegas.

Then we heading back to the other end of the strip to the CSI: The Experience. I have loved the show since the first season and it was fun to pretend to be a forensic investigator. The case was easy to solve, but that was not the point. We got to get an idea of some of the tasks a forensic investigator does to solve a crime. I thought it was well done and a great activity for families to do together.  The only thing that could have made it better is if Nick was there.

G and I were famished solving our case, so we did something very Vegas. We hit a buffet at the Paris casino. It was amazing! Crab legs, shrimp, pate, Caprese salad, and so much more. I ate so much that I felt I needed to be rolled out. It was hard to walk back to the hotel with such a full belly.

After we made it back to the hotel, we had to pack our stuff. It did not take me long, so I had to finish my book. In keeping with my current obsession of reading books by fat, women runners I finished Honey, Do You Need A Ride? Confessions of a Fat Runner.

This was not my favorite book in the this genre, but I still enjoyed it.  It started out very funny and leveled off as the book went. The author as very honest and motivating. That is what I love about these books. All of my insecurities and some I did not think about are all addressed in these books. I am still doing my running program (I made it to the gym twice during this trip!) and somedays I feel like I am never going to finish it. I know people have and are going through the same thing I am.

And you know what?

I have stuck with the program for about three weeks and that too me is absolute success!
