I am going to state the obvious.
I live in Southern California + it is summer = hotter than the surface of the sun.
And it will get hotter.
Today was an okay day. I struggled with my new diet. I found out that I could still have a Diet Coke when I go out.
I ran all sorts of errands. Remember those 50 pink flamingos that I put in my grandmother’s yard for her birthday… in February? I finally got them out of my garage and donated them to Goodwill. I stopped by Lowe’s and got some supplies for a project. I even got my eyebrows done.
I finished my first book in a million weeks.
I loved this book. Running with Curves was easy and inspiring to read. It made me more motivated and helped me to feel better for when I do get discouraged. If you run, you are a runner! I feel like a badass.
Now for the best news! I woke up this morning and went to the gym. Already awesome! While on the treadmill I walked/ran Week One- Workout One of the Couch to 5K program.
It was awesome. It was fun. I did not care if anyone was looking at me. I did not care how i looked. I was sweaty and hot and I did not care. I was able to do the first step to this program and that made me feel badass. I really want to move to step two tomorrow, but I know I should rest. So tomorrow is a walk.
What about Diet Dr. Pepper?
Diet Dr. Pepper still runs through my veins, but I have to admit I do not drink it like I used too. Does that mean I am getting older and wiser or just older?????
