I read a lot of photography blogs and Clicking Moms happens to be one of my favorites. They also have a pretty good magazine. When I learned they had an international walk going on, I knew I had to participate. I asked a friend of mine that said something to me one day like “I have this really nice camera with a fancy strap and I rarely take pictures with it”. So I decided to invite her.

Well it has not rained in Southern California since the dinosaurs roamed the Earth and of course it rained today. As a matter of fact, Gretchen and I hit a good downpour on the way to Laguna Beach. I was getting discouraged, but Gretchen had hope.
Of course Gretchen was right.
Now I had never met these women. I knew nothing about them. As a matter of fact I wanted to run away from the ladies and go to a movie. Gretchen made me stay and I am so happy she did.
Mother Nature was kind to us and the rain stopped just in time for our walk. She gave us a beautiful sky, great lighting, and an angry ocean.

Today was a major victory of me. I wanted to run and I stayed. I had a great time. Gretchen and I laughed, met a few new friends, and got some great pictures.
