Today was a field trip day and it was awesome.
My friend Gretchen, her kids (Squirrel and Possum), and I headed to the California Science Center and the Natural History Museum. Both of these museums are so much fun to go to and you can spend all day exploring. My goal for the day was to see the Explorer Space Shuttle… the actually one that made 25 missions into space!
I stood under the Space Shuttle!!! How many people can say that? I was in such awe that I forgot to take pictures. I remember when the Space Shuttle was being moved across town. Southern California was glued to the TV.
After the museums we headed to Sprinkle’s Cupcakes. Now big deal! We have all had a cupcake. But have you ever used a Cupcake ATM????
It was pretty fantastic. The cupcake was pretty fantastic. I really want to go back again.
The day was not close to be over. Since we had eaten dessert, we decided to go to dinner. We headed to Blaze Pizza. This is a chain that is best described like the Chipotle of pizza. It was delicious. I love the idea of getting a custom made pizza in about 2 minutes. And it was extremely reasonably priced. After dinner, we walked to Vroman’s Bookstore. This is one of the best local bookstores in the area.
It was a pretty perfect day. It will be hard field trip to beat.
