That was how I felt all day today. I tried to shake the mood, but had no such luck.
Since I could not get out of my funk, I decided to try some recipes that I have bookmarked.
First was Easy Blueberry Muffin Bread Pudding. I heard some ladies talking about and it sounded amazing. The problem was that it needed to soak overnight before it was ready to bake. So here it is… soaking.
Then I made Seven Layer Bars. In Jen Lancaster’s book The Tao of Martha, Jenn goes on about some Five Layer Bars that she had. I decided that I had to try these. I figured that seven has to be better than five and thus I found a recipe. The recipe is also great for movie night tomorrow! I did not cut them up yet, but I did try them. They are flipping fantastic! I am tempted not to share.
Yup, those are potato chips!
My day of cooking was interrupted by a yoga class. I got my butt kicked in yoga. I think I might be sore for days, but it was totally worth it!
I came home and made dinner. Glazed Pork Chops with Trader Joe’s Garlic Potatoes with Parmesan Sauce.
Yes I overcooked the pork chop, but it was still amazing. I will be making it again soon with the goal of not overcooking it.
I do not know the last time I tried so many new recipes in one day. It ended it being an okay day.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better. If not, I have another recipe to try!
