My weekend is coming to an end and I am going to get to bed early! I am exhausted after a relaxing few days.
Last night my mom got a blood transfusion.
The doctor had been watching her hemoglobin counts for awhile and finally decided that last night was the night. My mom was a little nervous at first, but once she realized it was no big she was fine. According to the doctor everything went well, but my mom said she felt a little dizzy afterwards. Maybe she should stop spinning in circles!
Today was another big day. She got her staples out on her leg!
Here are the tools that the nurse used. I of course had to watch her do it! It was no big deal.
This is the before picture. The nurse moved too fast for me to get an after picture. The incision looks healthy and healing great.
My mom is walking around well with the assistance of a cane. As a matter of fact, she was told that she walks too fast and needs to slow down. Friday we see the orthopedic surgeon and find about her shoulder.
Begonia is obviously very worried.
