Is there something seriously wrong with me that I enjoyed being back at work today? It was great to see the kids, catch up with my coworkers, and get back into my routine. Today’s lesson was velocity and graphing. It was a review for the kids. I was impressed that they had not forgotten everything during the break. They moaned and groaned because they had to do math! What was I thinking? How dare I!??!
I quickly left school to get to my acupuncture appointment. It is amazing how great I feel after getting poked with a bunch of needles. I feel as good I do after a yoga class. Lester, my acupuncturist, is amazing. He deserves a Noble Prize for keeping my stress down and my headaches away! I would rather get stuck with needles than take some medicine that probably does more harm than good.
I felt so great after my appointment, that I headed to the gym. Getting to the gym is the hardest part. Once I am there I am okay and I feel so good. I have discovered the bike and I love it. I set it on the Weight Loss setting and ride away for at least 30 minutes. I bring my school assigned tablet (yuck!) and I watch Netflix. Right now I am watching season one of Parenthood. How have I missed this show? It has been on for five seasons and I have never watched it before. I was drawn to it because of Lauren Graham. I’ve been slowly watching The Gilmore Girls… Another show I missed!
After an exciting day, I came home and made Roasted Lemon Garlic Herb Shrimp with broccoli.
You can see the steam rising from it! It was delicious!!! I made it a little too lemony, but it was still tasty. I have no idea where I found the recipe (probably Pinterest), but I am so happy I did. I also used dried thyme and I think fresh would have been better. I decided to keep it low-carb and steam some broccoli. Everything is better with broccoli!!!!
