Today was the last day of summer vacation.
Overall, I have to say it was a good summer. I had a great trip to Vegas. I had some great outings with friends. I did not finish my to do list and that is okay. I had a big scare at the beginning of the summer and I have been working on getting healthy.
I ended my summer with a big dent to my wallet. I did some serious clothes shopping. I do not think I have ever shopped like this before. I bought pretty much everything! Since I had a bunch of new clothes to put in the closet, I needed to do some major purging.
Boy did I ever!
I filled three garbage bags of clothes that were old, damaged, and too big! I even threw out shoes that I forgot I had.
Since I was cleaning out my closet I decided I needed to organize it.
Looking at these pictures I notice that I did not organize my shoes. I’ll have to do that before bed. I also need to get matching hangers. Come and check my closet in a few weeks. It will still be organized. It is a sickness. I kinda gross myself out.
Besides the usual Sunday laundry and grocery shopping, I got myself a pedicure and finished my book.
The Invention of Wings was a hard book to read. I wanted to like it. I loved The Secret Lives of Bees by the same author and had hopes for this book. The story sounded good, but I struggled to get through the book. At times I felt I was forcing myself to read it.
I do have a funny story about how I got this book. I was ordering contact paper and I thought I ordered to different patterns. When my box arrived, I was shocked to see one roll of contact paper and this book. I was surprised, but of course I read the book.
Now what did I do with the contact paper? Contact papered my desk at work of course!
I love it! I cannot wait to do my file cabinets!!!!
