Winter Break
I promised some pictures from my trip to Florida for Winter Break! Here they are! Hope you like them! Enjoy!
Here is our Hanukkah table. It was nothing special, but I wanted to show off my mom’s new soup terrain. She has wanted one for years and I think it was worth the wait! Don’t you?
We went to Pensacola to see a hockey game and stopped by a well-known local fish market. I have always thought that shrimp boats were neat and beautiful in their own way.
On Christmas Eve, my Dad and I went for a little hike in a local park called Turkey Creek. It was the perfect hiking weather- cold and rainy. Florida may not have mountains to hike in, but it does have some gorgeous hiking trails.
This was our Christmas table. I know it is nothing spectacular, but I was proud of it. We usually have the some things as our appetizers: pate, heart of palm, and olives. Notice the ugly, green cup? Yup, that is mine!!
We rarely see black swans and I thought this one was just as majestic as it should be. I even like to think that he posed for me!
This is a female Greater Kudu. I love this picture. Her big, dark eyes are almost framed by those enormous ears! All deer are beautiful, but there is just something about her.
I cannot tell you how thrilled I was with this picture! I took a million pictures of this mother Orangutan and her baby. Look at the expression in the mother’s eyes. It is one of sadness and almost like she knows what is happening to other orangutans. Also, her eyes look so human. It is easy for me to see how we are related to orangutans and the other great apes.
