The summer boredom continues. I got up early to go walking with a friend. We had a good time and Val made some new friends. That always makes me happy. I went to AAA to make final reservations for Vegas. My mom and I are going the end of July to “party.” I will of course share all the gory details with you. I know that you are on the edge of your seat with anticipation! I came home and read for a little bit. The night ended with Evan Almighty. I loved it. Morgan Freeman plays the perfect God. Who else could play the part as well? The movie was predictable and very silly, but I really enjoyed it.
I finally made a new page dedicated to my pictures of San Francisco. Just click on the tab above that is named San Francisco… it took me all day to come up with that. Currently, it only has one picture. Check back for more. I will post all my pictures as soon as I can!

I guess it is time to talk about my trip to San Francisco. I have not had the time to go through the pictures and I was waiting to post when the pictures were ready. Now my goal is get through the pictures before the end of summer.
San Francisco was fantastic! I had such a good time and I look forward to going back. We did almost everything we wanted to and more. San Francisco is a gorgeous city. We had phenomenal weather and hit the city before the summer tourism rush. Here is the break down of our four days:
Our morning began at 4am Sunday morning. We flew into Oakland and took the BART into San Francisco. We finally made it to our hotel around 9am. We stayed at the Hotel Union Square. I highly, highly recommend this hotel. It was affordable and very quaint. After we dropped off our bags, we began the trek to Fisherman’s Wharf, which was at least seven miles. We walked through Chinatown and Little Italy. We walked up and down Fisherman’s Wharf and took come fantastic pictures. That afternoon, we took a boat to Alcatraz. It was very interesting, but disturbing as well. I can say that I am so happy that I am not in prison. It must be hell! That night, we went on a night tour of the city. The day ended with a ride down Lombard Street.
Monday was an easy day. We went to Golden Gate Park and to the Japanese Tea Garden. We drove through the different neighborhoods of the city. We ended the day with a nice dinner at Town Hall. It was an excellent restaurant and not too expensive. It differently made it hard to go back to Chili’s!
On Tuesday, we hit the city hard again. We took a bus to Alamo Square to see the Painted Ladies. I have seen numerous pictures of them and when I saw them in person, I was disappointed. I do not know what I was expecting, but I was let down. We got back on a bus, heading toward the beach, and then to the Palace of Fine Arts. It was fun to walk around. The Palace of Fine Arts seems so out of place in San Francisco, but once you are there it makes sense. We got on another bus and went back to Fisherman’s Wharf. We wanted to go to Pier 39 and see the sea lions. They were funny to watch. They seemed completely at home. We took a cable car back to the hotel to get ready for the adventure of the night. We had tickets to go see Jersey Boys. If you have the chance to see it, go! It was wonderful! We had no plans to see the play, but I am so happy that we did.
Wednesday was our final day in San Francisco. We took a bus tour of the city and got to see parts of the city that we would have missed. We went to the top of Twin Peeks, went to Mission Dolores, and got to cross the Golden Gate Bridge.
I fell in love with San Francisco. It was hard to believe that I was in a big city. It felt so small and everyone was extremely helpful. I am anxious to get back. I cannot think of one thing that I did not like. And with all that we did, we still did not do it all. I have to go back!!!

If you have not yet tried the Orange Creme Frappuccino from Starbucks, run out and get one. It is just like a Creamsicle. It is the way summer should be spent. I am addicted to them. I think I am going to go on a Orange Creme Frappuccino diet.

Let me preface this post by saying that I am pissed and that I have no real reason to complain.
Now that that is said, I am deeply disturbed. When your bubble is popped about someone, it is hard to move on and accept the changed person. As usual, I am being vague and I apologize. I am being vague to keep the guilty from the mobs of angry townspeople from chasing the individual with torches. Do not get me wrong. I think this person, whom I will call SH, should be stoned. Unfortunately, we live in the US and stoning is not an acceptable punishment for the stupid and guilty. Wait until I become president!! Things will change baby!!! I will allow public stonings, get rid of speed bumps, and outlaw shaving cats. I have some more plans up my sleeve and this is just the tip of the iceberg. And if you go not like my changes, then move to Canada!
Back to SH, I am so frustrated with him. I had this idea in my head that he was a moral, caring person and I am learning that he is not all that I thought him to be. Looking at SH the same way will be hard. I will do my best to pretend everything is the same, but SH has hurt people and let them down. And for those of us that he fooled, we look like idiots. Hopefully all affected by this will learn. Am I overreacting? Probably. But I am pissed!!!

Today was a bad day. Not bad in the sense that I have a reason to complain and expect sympathy. Today was bad in the sense that I am so happy that it is over and tomorrow will be a new day. I am working on going through all the San Francisco pictures and I will post a few as soon as I can. I think I took about 500 pictures and I am sure that only a 100 or so are good. Have I ever mentioned that I love digital cameras? I take five pictures of everything and I know that at least one will be worth keeping. It is the simple things in life that make one smile. Getting back to the bad day, it at least ended on a happy note. I went to see Ocean’s 13 and I loved it. It was everything that Ocean’s 11 was, but still kept me entertained and laughing. What more could I ask for!?!?? I know that this post is all over the place, but it is 11pm! It is past my bedtime! I am late for bed! Pretty soon it will be raining monkeys! How do you people stay up this late?

I just want to post a very quick update. I am finally back in San Francisco and I could not be happier!! If I could afford to live here, I would make the move in an instant. I love it here. Today we walked from Union Square to Fisherman’s Wharf and went to Alcatraz. Since our trip started at 4am, we were very happy to make it back to our hotel. We are staying in the Hotel Union Square and I love it! It is quaint, modern, not to expensive, and in a great location. I will post some of the 100+ pictures I have taken, but I am beat!
