Cheeky’s and Sushi

Now that sounds like a party doesn’t it??

Today was the last day of school for teachers and I celebrated by going to breakfast with a few coworkers in Palm Springs. We tried a place called Cheeky’s and it was amazing.

I had the Chilaquiles with chorizo, tomatillo, queso fresco, cilantro, onion. Amazing!!!!photo 2

Someone ordered The Bacon Flight, which was a sample plate of five different flavors of bacon.  I am not a bacon fan (I know, I have issues), but I fell in love with the apple cinnamon bacon. Wow!

Someone got the pancakes and was presented with the cutest maple syrup container! It is a little log cabin.  I love it!

We had to go to school for a meeting and staying awake after a great breakfast was difficult. I love informational meetings when tentative stuff is shared. It is a waste of time! Why waste everyone’s time?  I guess I will have two months to get over it!

I did not eat for the rest of the day since I knew I was going back to Miyagi Sushi. I of course did all you can eat and my stomach is hurting from eating to much.  It is so hard to stop since the food is amazing.

I vow not to eat until tomorrow. Scout’s honor!

I finally finished The Rossetti Letter.

Unknown

I am so happy that I was able to get through this book, with the help of a little cheating.  I thought this book would never end.  I could care less if the truth behind the letter was ever discovered. I could care less who was going to end up with who.  I did not like many of the characters and was beyond thrilled when the book came to an end. Harsh, but true!
